Preparing for the weather

During the summer term please prepare for all weather conditions.  Even when the sun shines it can be cold and windy behind the building so please leave a named warm fleece or coat on your child’s peg.

Sunscreen should be applied before nursery and if your child is staying all day please provide a long sleeved t-shirt for extra protection if needed. You may also leave a named bottle of sunscreen for reapplication after lunch.

Snack time.

Thank you for continuing to contribute to our snack bowl. Your generosity helps us to keep costs down and spend more on resources for the children.

Sponsored scoot around the aquadrome and Easter fundraising

Thank you all of you who took part in this event. We are still collecting the money and will let you know the final amount. If you haven’t yet collected your sponsor money please do and pass it to us asap. We are using the funds to create a water ’wall’ in the garden and hope to have it up and functioning soon. Nancy’s dad, Dave had generously donated and fitted the weatherproof plywood for the backing already. Thank you also to Lyndsey (Max) and Jess (Barney) for organising our fundraising events.

Bags 2 school

Please leave your bags in the entrance hall by Friday19th May to ensure they are there for the Monday morning collection.

Fundraising quiz night Saturday 10th June 7.30pm

Please do support this event for the benefit of all your children.

Tickets are £10 per person which includes a main meal. Teams will be in tables of 8 – you can fill a table with friends and family or we will put you together with others to make a team.  Wine, beer and soft drinks will be on sale. There will also be a raffle.

Also, this is an opportunity to ask your company/workplace if they offer ‘matched funding’ as this can increase the profits dramatically.

  • Friday children arrive at 9 am as usual,
  • All other children to arrive at 10.45am.

Children need to wear footwear suitable for running, a hat and sun cream

Arrangements for September

Please let us know if your child has been offered a school nursery place and will be leaving at the end of the term.

If your child is staying on in September please make sure you book and confirm the sessions that your child will be attending.

Adding to our resources

We are always happy to receive old birthday cards, small and medium boxes, card tubes, lids, wool, yogurt pots etc. for modelling and collage activities.

Nursery books

Thank you for your Easter holiday contributions to your child’s nursery books, we always enjoy sharing children’s news and activities from home. Please continue to send them in.

You may borrow the nursery books to share at home at any time – please ask a member of staff to sign them out.

Thanks
